If Winter Ends

If winter ends- a song that doesn’t end,
A melody that is never spent,
Like the listeners who pay their consciences,
To gain what they thought they needed,
To feel what they thought they lost.

If winter ends- the summer fall and spring constitute winter,
Because snow is redundant and cold is always around,
Because in the cycle of a day there is always a winter at the end,
And every human shares what exists from being alone.

To stand at a monument that thousands died for and to stand in a city that millions live in,
Is to be against a ground walking horizontally to try to evade winter falling.
If winter ends- I always follow the cycle of the world to where it begins;
To where it is cold.
